Welcome to Southwest Networking Group!!

 

       Thanks for taking an interest in the Southwest Networking Group. As our mission statement explains, we are together to encourage professional

relationships that will help our businesses grow. This letter outlines how we think you can get the most out of your membership. We expect you to invest a lot of

time in the group and therefore deserve to get the most out of this investment. We believe this is accomplished by actively engaging with the members and working

towards the goal of becoming a valued member. 

 

       We create value in our relationships by first attempting to contribute to the group before we expect anything in return. So often professionals join networking organizations

with their own expectations of what they are going to ‘get out’ of the group.  Soon, they then are surprised or disappointed when they haven’t received any leads in the

first few months. The simple fact is you ‘get out’ what you ‘put in’. Our members always try to help out you (the newer member) who they think will have their customers

(referrals) best interest at heart. This requires a level of trust that is only accomplished through getting to know your fellow members.

 

           The most successful professional valued members:

 

Ø                  Attend the meetings weekly. Show up a little early to get to know the other members better while we share breakfast

Ø                  Schedule one-on-one meetings with other members (a good goal is one a week)

Ø                  Learn what a good referral is for each member, and how they like to have you approach the client

Ø                  Look for speakers for our group

Ø                  Look for new members for the group

Ø                  Join a committee

Ø                  Keep their fellow members informed of other networking opportunities or civic organizations

Ø                  Maintain a high ethical standard

 

       Our experience reveals that the items outlined above sets our group apart from others available to you. Success is defined as how much we can do for the other members,

and we trust they will come through for us. It’s really that simple. Thanks again for your interest. We hope that by understanding a little about what is expected will leads to
